Helicopter arrivals and clearance for VIP guests

Helicopter movements in the Grenadines are straightforward when planned and impossible when improvised. Lead time is everything in preparing permissions, licences and flight plans and having a reliable agent contact at the airports is essential for each movement.

Where helicopters operate

Argyle International (SVD) handles heli arrivals with the fullest facilities. Canouan, Mustique and Union have airstrips used for fixed-wing and, with permission, heli movements. Private landing zones are very limited in the country and require the landowner's and the authority's approval.

Clearance

An international heli arrival clears like any other aircraft and this must be completed at the international airport: crew and passenger manifests, immigration and customs are all required. Domestic hops between islands need flight plans filed.

Getting guests to the yacht

From Argyle it is a short 25 drive to Blue Lagoon or 35 mins to Kingstown. From Canouan or Mustique it is minutes to the dock. We plan the airport - vehicles - tender links so guests are not standing waiting and everything runs like clockwork.
